Born in Poland, Martin (or Marcin) Sokolowski moved to Canada with his family in the early 90s. One of his major passions was illustrating his daily events in his sketchbook, quickly grasping the fundamentals of the medium. His background contains a wide-variety of artistic exploration in sketching, writing and graphic art to film, theater and TV production design. He has gained a great deal of local recognition in Edmonton in the city's film circuit, creating indie film productions that have won him awards, film school scholarships and film festival entries around the world. His work ranges in dark, minimal expressionism, advertising concepts, popculture and humorous renditions.
